The Art Club is open to any SCC student who has an appreciation for visual arts and wishes to enhance their personal and professional artistic development. You do not have to be an art major to participate in the Art Club.
Members are exposed to current trends in the arts and explore the lifestyles of practicing artists. They assist with the visiting artists exhibits in the Wyche Gallery and participate in the workshops provided by the artists. Members visit art museums and other venues that allow them additional exposure to various forms of art.
On campus, club members participate in activities such as Club Day, Welcome Week activities, Senior Day and Earth Day. The Art Club also partners with other campus departments to facilitate student activities. This past year they sponsored the “My Life, My Journey, My Moment” student photo contest.
