NCWorks Career Center

NCWorks Career Centers are user-friendly facilities located throughout North Carolina. They provide job seekers, those seeking training, and employers access to career training and job placement services while also serving as the connection between employers and qualified workers. Southeastern Community College hosts the Columbus County NCWorks Career Center.

In a NCWorks Career Center, customers come first. By offering a wide range of service options, from self-service to full-service, NCWorks Career Centers offer comprehensive training and employment services to the community, all under one roof.

Students and job seekers have access to the Career Resource Room for extensive career exploration, online job applications and assistance with job search efforts. Customers also have access to representatives of several partner agencies and groups. The Columbus County NCWorks Career Center is chartered by the Cape Fear Workforce Development Board and the N.C. Division of Workforce Development.

Free services available include career and personal assessments, employment readiness preparation, short-term skills training, job placement assistance, résumé preparation and career counseling. Additional services include:
