Medical Laboratory Technology Scholarship Established

The SCC Foundation announced a new scholarship for students enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technology program at Southeastern Community College. The Kathy Dew Ammons Memorial Scholarship will fund one scholarship per academic year.

Kathy Ammons is a Columbus County native regarded for her high level of excellence and advocacy in hospital MLT labs. Funds were raised in her memory by friends and colleagues employed in hospital labs across Southeastern North Carolina.
