Friday, December 11th, 2020

The Holiday season can be a difficult time for many families, and those challenges have been escalated this year as many struggle through COVID-19. The Columbus County NCWorks Career Center accepted applications for families financially impacted by COVID-19 for children 13 years and under.

The NCWorks Career Center assisted 9 families totaling 19 children ranging from 2 months to 13 years old affected by the pandemic. The Career Center received over 100 toys to donate.

In addition to filling out applications to receive toys from the toy drive, the Career Center served applicants in job searches, resume building, and career planning.

NCWorks Career Center is located on the campus of Southeastern Community College.
